We built Bent Creek Lodge in 1999 with timbers cut from this incredible setting to offer Asheville visitors a retreat similar to the warm, rustic lodges we visited in the west. Nestled in a forested triangle between the Blue Ridge Parkway and the French Broad River , the lodge is only 10 miles from the center of Asheville, yet feels like a remote mountain get-a-way. You turn in our drive down by the river and as you wind past the hillside of rhododendron and mountain laurel, there is a good chance you’ll see deer or wild turkeys. Once you are here enjoy a stroll through the gardens, hike the trails that start along our creek, sit back on the spacious decks and porches to watch the birds or cuddle up with a book by the great room’s fireplace. Whatever you choose, it will be a rejuvenating escape from the typical hurried lives left behind.

We fell in love with the Asheville area (and each other) when we moved up from Florida in 1977 and take pride in being able to help our guests discover the area's many wonders from enchanting waterfalls, mountain bike trails, amazing art galleries, unique restaurants and more. We want you to enjoy the special touches here in the lodge as well, such as the delicious treats waiting for you in the afternoons, nightly chocolates, amazingly comfortable beds and a hot, scrumptious breakfast each morning.

Ten distinctively decorated guest rooms await you with a variety of amenities to fit every occasion from romantic honeymoons to mother/daughter get-a-ways. All have individual heating and air conditioning, private baths, sensuously cozy linens, private entrances (except the Barn Room), irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, CD players, and views of the surrounding mountains, forest and gardens. We work hard to make sure that all are impeccably clean.
